Pet Profile — Privacy Policy

1. About Pet Profile

Pet Profile is a pet management application developed and operated by Pet Profile. By using this app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide our services: • Account Information: Your name and email address when you register. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. • Pet Information: Name, species, breed, age, weight, gender, photo, and health notes for each pet you add. • Medical Records: Vaccinations, vet visits, medications, dosage details, and any medical documents (e.g. prescriptions, lab reports) you upload. • Diet Plans: Feeding schedules, food types, portion sizes, and allergy information. • Mating Board Posts & Bids: When you post a mating request or place a bid, we collect your pet details (including any health information you choose to share, such as vaccination status), photos, your contact number, location (city), any message or stud fee, and any description you provide. Mating posts are visible to all users, but your phone number is private: a post owner's number is shared only with the bidder whose bid they accept, and a bid (including the bidder's number) is visible only to the owner of that post. • Lost & Found Posts: When you post a lost or found pet, we collect pet details and photos, your contact name and phone number, the last-seen location (address and, if you pick it on the map, its map coordinates), city, and any reward you mention. This information is publicly visible to other users so they can contact you. • AI Chat: Messages and pet photos you send to the PetDoc AI assistant are sent through our secure server to the Google Gemini API to generate a response. We do not store your chat messages or chat photos; we only keep a daily count of how many PetDoc messages each account sends, to prevent abuse. • Reports & Blocks: If you report content or block a user, we store the report (reason, optional details and a copy of the reported content) and your block list. • Device & Diagnostic Data: A push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you bid and app notifications, and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) that include device model, operating system version and app state at the time of a crash. • Device Permissions: Camera and photo access (via the system photo picker) only when you choose to add a photo. Notification and exact-alarm permission for medicine and feeding reminders. Pet Profile does not access your device's GPS location.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: • Operate and improve the Pet Profile app. • Sync your pet data securely across your devices. • Display your Mating Board and Lost & Found posts to other users. • Send alarm notifications for medicine and feeding reminders you configure, and push notifications about your posts and bids. • Generate pet health summaries (PDF) on your device, which you can choose to share. • Provide AI-powered pet care guidance via PetDoc. • Review reported content and keep the community safe. • Diagnose crashes and fix bugs. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The app does not show ads.

4. Mating Board — Liability Disclaimer

The Mating Board is a platform feature that allows users to advertise their pets for mating purposes and connect with other pet owners. Pet Profile and Pet Panda (collectively "the Company") explicitly disclaim all liability for: • Any in-person meetings arranged between users through the Mating Board. The Company is not responsible for any harm, loss, injury, or dispute arising from such meetings. • The outcome of any pet mating facilitated or arranged through the App, including but not limited to: health complications in animals, pregnancy outcomes, litter disputes, breed authenticity, genetic conditions, or veterinary costs. • The accuracy or truthfulness of any information posted by users, including breed, age, health status, or ownership of animals. • Any financial transactions, agreements, or disputes between users. The Company does not facilitate, mediate, or guarantee any such agreements. • Any loss, theft, injury, or damage to persons or animals occurring during or after meetings arranged through the App. All interactions, meetings, and arrangements made through the Mating Board are entirely at the user's own risk. The Company acts solely as a platform provider and is not a party to any agreement between users. Users are strongly advised to: — Verify the identity and credentials of other users independently. — Meet in safe, public locations. — Consult a veterinarian before proceeding with any mating arrangement. — Not make financial payments without proper verification.

5. PetDoc AI Assistant

PetDoc is an AI-powered assistant that answers pet care questions and can look at photos of your pet. Please note: • Your messages and photos are processed by the Google Gemini API. By using PetDoc, you also agree to Google's applicable terms. Google may use content submitted through the Gemini API to improve its products. • PetDoc provides general information only. It is not a licensed veterinarian and its responses should not be treated as professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In an emergency, contact a veterinarian immediately. • Do not share sensitive personal information (e.g., your full name, address, financial information) or photos of people in the AI chat. • You can report any PetDoc response you think is wrong, harmful or inappropriate using the "Report response" link under it. • PetDoc usage may be limited to a number of messages per day. • Pet Profile and Pet Panda are not liable for any decisions made based on PetDoc's responses.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud platform. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Photos and documents are stored in Supabase Storage. We implement industry-standard security measures. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data except: • Service Providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication and storage), Google Gemini API (AI responses), Google Firebase (push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging and crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics), and Google Sign-In (if you choose to sign in with Google). • Other users: Mating Board and Lost & Found posts are visible to all app users. The contact number on a Lost & Found post is public so people can reach you. Mating Board phone numbers are shared only between a post owner and the bidder they accept, and a bidder's number is visible to the owner of the post they bid on. • Legal Requirements: If required by applicable law or to protect user safety.

8. Photos & Media

Pet photos and medical documents you upload are stored in our cloud storage and are shown inside the app only to you. They are stored at unguessable web addresses, so anyone who has the exact link could open the file — do not share these links if you want to keep them private. Mating post photos and Lost & Found photos are visible to all users as part of the post. Camera and photo access are used only when you actively choose to add or change a photo.

9. Notifications & Alarms

Pet Profile uses device notifications and alarms for medicine and feeding reminders. Alarm notifications are designed to alert you even when your phone is locked. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings. We are not responsible for missed alarms due to device settings, battery optimization, or operating system restrictions.

10. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to: • Access and correct your personal data within the app. • Remove your Mating Board posts, bids and Lost & Found posts at any time from within the app. • Opt out of notifications via your device settings. • Delete your account and all associated data. How to delete your account: — In the app: Profile → Delete Account. Your account and data are deleted immediately and permanently. — Without the app: email thepetsprofile@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete your account within 7 days and confirm by email. When your account is deleted, we permanently delete your profile, pets, medical records, diet plans, reminders, Mating Board posts and bids, Lost & Found posts, uploaded photos and documents, push tokens, and block list. Reports you filed may be kept in anonymised form for safety purposes. Crash reports held by Firebase Crashlytics are deleted automatically by Google after 90 days.

11. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Resolved or deleted posts are removed from our database when you delete them. Reported content and moderation records are kept only as long as needed to review the report and keep the community safe. All personal data is deleted when your account is deleted, as described above.

12. Children's Privacy

Pet Profile is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pet Profile and Pet Panda shall not be liable for: • Any loss or harm resulting from interactions arranged through the Mating Board or Lost & Found. • Decisions made based on PetDoc AI responses. • Missed medication or feeding reminders. • Data loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Your use of the app and its community features is entirely at your own risk.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the 'Last Updated' date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
